Two sisters. One brutal murder.A quest for vengeance that will unleash Hell itself…And an intoxicating romance. Emilia and her twin sister Vittoria are streghe – witches who live secretly among humans, avoiding notice and persecution. One night, Vittoria misses dinner service at the family’s renowned Sicilian restaurant. Emilia soon finds the body of her beloved twin…desecrated beyond belief. Devastated, Emilia sets out to find her sister’s killer and to seek vengeance at any cost-even if it means using dark magic that’s been long forbidden.
Then Emilia meets Wrath, one of the Wicked-princes of Hell she has been warned against in tales since she was a child. Wrath claims to be on Emilia’s side, tasked by his master with solving the series of women’s murders on the island. But when it comes to the Wicked, nothing is as it seems…
Of course is this only my personal opinion on the book and just because i give this rating to the book doesn’t mean, that everyone will have that opinion.
I have already read “Stalking Jack the Ripper” by the author, which I liked very much! I was curious if this book could inspire me as much SJtR
This book did not disappoint me at all. The writing style was super fluid and pleasant to read. The entry into the story was easy and in general one was very well introduced into the magic system. The Worldbuilding was fantastic. I couldn’t put the book down for one second.
I really liked Emilia and Wrath and the tension between the two was just the best. Whoever wants light “Enemies to lovers” stories should definitely grab this book!
I have nothing to complain about the book and I can’t wait for Volume 2.
The perfect book for spooky season. If you like enemies to lovers with a murderer solving plot, than this is the book for you
I give 5 from 5 Stars
See you later,
